Real Estate Fund Manager

Definition : Real Estate Fund Manager

What does a Real Estate Fund Manager?

The Fund Manager is the person in the management company who is responsible for the purchase and the sale of the assets that make up a given portfolio.  They must ensure that the investments comply with the mandate of the Fund. A Fund Manager will adapt the composition of the portfolio on a regular basis, based on the news of the markets and their beliefs.  Fund managers are paid a fee for their work, which is usually a percentage of the fund's average assets under management.  They are often also referred to as an "investment manager".
